About Self-Publishing

Introduction

Most main-stream publishers require a large potential market before they commit themselves to a book, and some subjects are too specialist for them. This is a built-in limitation for little-known fiction authors and authors of local histories, personal or family biographies and other specialist subjects. As a consequence, a great many books of this type, which deserve to be published, never see the light of day or are published in an amateur manner. We are dedicated to getting these books into print to a professional standard and/or published as E-books. This is surprisingly inexpensive using modern technology.

As a publisher with YouCaxton, you control the process and the design, but we guide you through the process personally, and we don’t expect you to steer your way through multiple screens or to have any technical knowledge. When your book is ready, you order as many copies as you choose as often as you choose and it will also become available through Amazon and other major distributors. We can also, in some cases, help you to publicise it. You may discover a market that mainstream publishers have failed to discover for themselves.
