Lauren Staton will talking about the research that formed the basis for her novel, Notes from the Edge, published by YouCaxton, at a book launch 7.00 pm, Thursday June 2nd, at Delanys Cafe Bar, Jalon on the Costa Brava. Her novel is based on the true story of Brighton artist Henry Havelock Cornell, following Lauren’s discovery of notes he wrote before being admitted to a mental asylum. The story starts in Brighton at the turn of the Twentieth Century and moves to prewar London in 1939 and involves, among other things, murder and an exhibition at the Royal Academy..
